Zoe writes ~ the birth of a child is a very important life event, so to not have it photographed seems like a stupid idea. We all happily pay a ton of money to have our wedding day photographed, so why wouldn’t you do the same for a birth? Both days are just as special and important after all. Having those photos to look back on over the years is going to mean so much. And now, when Aria asks me what her birth was like, instead of trying to remember as much as possible I can show her. She can see the love and emotion that surrounded her birth, and for a child to have that opportunity is a huge thing.
But for me, as the photographer birth photography is……….
is storytelling in the purest form, it is raw. It is sometimes confronting. It’s powerful. It is full of strength, love, tears and relief.
It’s a roller coaster of emotions and I am privileged enough to capture that story
Here are some Frequently asked questions.

up to 150 digital images and a slideshow set to music.
How experienced are you?
I have completed a birth photography workshop and have attended 14 births. Check out my selection of slideshow.

Will we meet before the birth?
I prefer to, but I am also happy enough to catch up over the phone. There is some paperwork that we need to go over sometimes that is best done in person. And who doesn’t like to catch up at a cafe and enjoy a bit of cake!
What if I change my mind?
If you decide in labour you don’t want me there I will leave quickly and quietly. But most people forget I am there
How long will you stay? What if I have a long labour?
I will stay for as long as it takes and up to two hours after the birth to get those little detail shots and bonding time.
What if I have a c-section?
Births sometimes don’t go to plan, usually, in this case, I will not be allowed into the room but I can take photos of bonding time.
When should I book you?
If its something you are interested in getting in-touch and have a chat with me. I can only take on one or two births a month due to the on-call nature of this work.
Do you offer a payment plan?
Yes definitely. Like all my session I offer a layby and split payment options
How long will it take to get my photographs?
You can expect your images and products delivered to you within 3-4 weeks of the birth.
What if you miss it?
I won’t lie, this does happen. If it due to me not being available I am happy to swap the session for hospital bonding/at home lifestyle session or newborn session.
