Hello, I'm Meg. I am a mum to three busy boys, a wife, baby whisperer and artist at heart (code for I hate housework).
I have chosen to specialise in newborn portraiture because I have a passion for capturing those special first few days of life, and a passion for creating stories out of art. I believe to be amazing, you must LOVE what you photograph and I do.
Choosing your newborn photographer is a big and hard decision, And I guess you are asking yourself why choose me?
Hopefully, you love what you see on this page, I have photographed over 300 newborn babies.
I am qualified Nanny and having had four babies myself I understand how to settle and calm babies. I have loads of patience and I keep the sessions as relaxed as possible.
I have learned a lot over my years photographing newborns. I have invested in quality props and training. I have trained with well-respected photographers (both nationally and internationally) as the most important thing to me is the safety of your newborn.
My Photography style.
A little bit more about my photography style is it has been called organic, emotive and contemporary. My focus is to get peaceful relaxed images of your newest addition. I work at your baby's pace so sometimes the session is a little longer and sometimes a little shorter.
I love Prints and books
I am a big believer in having photos printed. I offer a range of gorgeous photo books and print options, but yes - I still offer digital options.
Giving back, belonging and awards
I am is a member of the International Association of Newborn Photographers and have achieved a gold award with the 2012 Kodak awards and a silver and bronze award in the 2013 Iris Awards (New Zealand's Professional Photographers Awards). I am also a member of Heartfelt (International Bereavement Organisation for Baby Loss).
